The Queen Lili`uokalani Keiki Hula competition has been held every year since 1976, in commemoration of Queen Lili`uokalani, the last reigning monarch of Hawai`i. As many as five hundred children compete in this special event which presents the skills, talents, grace and outstanding performances of keiki dancers. This is a true legacy of Hawaiian culture, a beautiful dance..the art form of hula.

Narrated by Paula Akana, this 2003 video showcases the top five hula kahiko and `auana performances in the Kaikamahine (girls') Division, and the top three hula kahiko and `auana performances in the Keiki Kane (boys') Division. There are also highlights of the top five finishers in the Master and Miss Keiki Hula Competitions.
