The music of Kekuhi Kanahele possesses a certain ancient elegance. She is redefining contemporary Hawaiian music, and was recognized for this effort a Na Hoku Hanohano award as "Female Vocalist of the Year" for her work on this CD. Kekuhi's music -- as is Kekuhi -- is a product of Hawaiian culture, and an amazing family tree deeply linked to the history of these islands.
