Taken from prior recordings and released as a vinyl album in 1983, THE BEST OF BILL MURATA THE PRODUCER, this CD re-release includes almost all of the original tracks. Most of the songs are like long-lost friends that you haven't heard from in a long time.

In his lifetime, Bill Murata produced more than 100 records on his labels, and for others. Among the many acts that got their start with him, were Hui `Ohana, The Makaha Sons of Ni`ihau, The Lim Family, The Blahlas, the Ho`opi`i Brothers, Tina Ka`apana, and many others.
