HA`I KUPUNA is the debut release from Kaumakaiwa Lopaka Kanaka`ole -- who has composed and arranged most of the mele you will hear.

This young man's talent comes naturally -- from his great-grandmother Edith Kanaka`ole, his grandmother Pualani Kanaka`ole Kanahele, and his mother Kekuhi Kanahele-Frias. With this lineage -- and his continual thirst for knowledge -- Lopaka is blossoming into an individual worthy of caring for and expanding the Kanaka`ole traditions and values. He is joined on this CD by his grandmother, mother, and Kainani Kahaunaele. Prepare to be impressed!
