This contest is a tradition nearly 90 years in the making -- a one-of-a-kind annual presentation of Hawaiian language, song and dance. The melodies of a cappella choral music performed in harmony by hundreds of island high school students are unforgettable, and the beauty of the ho`ike is truly moving.
