Album Notes

Born and raised in the small fishing village of Kahakuloa on the island of Maui, brothers Solomon & Richard Ho`opi`i have joined their voices since childhood, singing himene (hymns) at church, and traditional Hawaiian mele (songs) at family gatherings.

This album was recorded in the studio with friends Herbert Hanawahine, Ledward Kaapana, Chris Kamaka, Jerry Koko, Francis Ku`ailini, Sr., and special guest Aunty Genoa Keawe. Liner notes are extensive, and include full lyrics and translations.
