Taken from prior recordings by these musicians, this CD brings together the first 20 commercial recordings of slack key guitar. Dating from 1946 to 1950, the recordings were produced for "Bell Records of Hawai`i", "40th State Hawai`i Records", and "Aloha Records" labels. Liner notes give information about each song, tunings and musicians, but no lyrics.
