Gabby Pahinui was Hawaii's most versatile slack key entertainer. He had an extensive repertoire and probably knew more tunings that any other island artist. Steel guitarist Alvin "Barney" Isaacs was born on O`ahu and was one of Hawaii's top entertainers and songwriters. Alvin Isaacs, Sr. began entertaining in the islands in 1948.
