GABBY PAHINUI: FAMILY & FRIENDS, presents a visual and musical look at Hawaii's legendary Gabby Pahinui. In 1979, Gabby assembled a group of family and friends for a day of music and fun at his home in Waimanalo...and the cameras were rolling.
The second half of the film was made 12 years later, when Gabby's sons Bla, Martin and Cyril recorded their first album together, THE PAHINUI BROS. Their recording sessions were filmed to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the album. Joining the brothers are friends and fellow musicians Ry Cooder, David Lindley, and Jim Keltner
