In 1982 on a sunny Hawaiian day in Waimanalo, an appreciative audience unknowingly became the first to experience the beginning of a twenty-year musical odyssey -- the annual Ki Ho`alu Festivals.

The best of Hawaii's slack key guitarists shared an astounding collection of traditional Hawaiian music, paying tribute to cultural music icon, Gabby "Pops" Pahinui. They performed for the man they remembered and loved.

HAWAIIAN SLACK KEY GUITAR FESTIVALS is a compilation of recordings -- taken from twenty years of that Festival.
