Butch Helemano has been a one-of-a-kind recording artist ever since releasing his first 45 RPM back in 1977. He was into reggae music years before other local island artists and promoters were threatening to beef each other about who invented the word "Jawaiian". But he had his own ideas. Butch has total respect for the original reggae masters of Jamaica and their Rastafarian life style -- and he's proud to be a native-Hawaiian who sings his own songs, reggae style, about things which are important to him. Liner notes contain background information on each song, but no lyrics.
