Billy Gonsalves and the Paradise Serenaders epitomize 1960's Hawaiian four-part harmony. The story of the group is really the story of two dedicated Hawaiian entertainers who came together to perfect a harmonious sound and eventually created a harmonious life together -- Lawaina Mokulehua Gonsalves and Billy Gonsalves. From 1950 through 1991, the Paradise Serenaders had an ebb and flow of talented members, and most of them can be heard on this compilation album.
