Album Notes

Tyler Gilman was raised in Honolulu and attended Iolani School from kindergarten all the way through high school. Tyler was always interested in music, and was encouraged by his parents to pursue his dreams. A year abroad to Japan in high school opened his eyes to the world, and soon he was off to Seattle and the University of Washington. While away, Tyler realized how much he appreciated the beauty, culture, and music of Hawaii. Upon his return home he rededicated himself to music, and the ukulele.

Ukulele Serenade is Tyler’s debut EP. It features a mix of classic Hawaiian and original contemporary songs. Featured on the album are Gavin Ono on bass, and Matt Kobayashi on steel guitar. Together they comprise the group Ukulolo.
