Teresa Bright has been singing since the age of 5; the youngest of four children. Her musician father, the late Daniel Bright and mother Carol a hula dancer, instilled the native Hawaiian musical heritage in their children.

While attending the University of Hawai`i-Manoa, Teresa began her professional music career with Steve Mai`i`i -- a duo known as Steve and Teresa. During their six years together they recorded three albums: “Catching a Wave” 1(981), “Ocean Blue” (1983), and “Intimately” (1985). They penned the song “Uwehe, Ami and Slide” which won them the 1986 Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Song of the Year. Teresa launched her solo career in 1986, touring New Zealand, Fiji, Rarotonga and Russia.

Teresa's first solo album -- "Self Portrait" -- was released in 1990, and has subsequently been followed with several CDs, many of which were Japan-only productions.
