Album Notes

MELEALOHA, the name says it all -- "Blessed Love of Music"...from Pomaika`i Longakit-Williams.

This Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner and former Miss Hawaii-Island has been singing since the age of 3, gaining fame in her teens as half of the brother-sister duo, Pomai & Loeka. Pomaika'i, a native of Pana'ewa on the big island of Hawai`i is grown up now -- and her rich, sweet, melodious voice shines brightly on this 5-song CD release.

Pomai has also matured into a fine songwriter, having penned two of the selections herself. The fifth song is the classic, "He Aloha Ku`u Ipo", a childhood favorite composed by the legendary Hawaiian scholar, Mary Kawena Pukui. This song features Sonny Lim on rhythm guitar, acoustic upright bass, and `ukulele.
