Album Notes

Things move at a relaxed pace on Kaua`i, but going 18 years between albums must be something of a record -- especially for a group of musicians and songwriters as talented as Na Pali.

Old friends Keola Beamer, George Winston, Taj Mahal and Buffy Sainte-Marie join in to welcome them back, as the group offers up another classic mix of slack key, steel guitar and nahenahe sounds. Like the cliffs (na pali) whose feet are in the sea but rooted to the land, Na Pali celebrates connections to the islands, the places that make up our lives and links to ancestors.
