Album Notes

Keahi Conjugacion has a distinct musical personality: a true jazz singer's spontaneity and freedom mixed with a reverence for the music of her native Hawaii`i and the bluesy stylings of classic singers like Dinah Washington and Etta James.

On her debut release, she takes a jazz artist's free-wheeling approach to a collection of hapa-haole and Hawaiian songs, combining familiar favorites with original songs by Keahi and her husband, pianist Dan Del Negro.
