Kawao’s blend of lover’s rock, reggae, pop, R&B, and island soul, continues to entertain audiences in the 808-state, nationally, and internationally. Their highly recognized Kawaostylee vibe – a sexy, smooth sound coupled with energetic performances, surely satisfies and pleases the ear.

Now in 2010, Kawao’s resilience is evident in their fourth album entitled, DETERMINED. Amid chaos and controversy, Kawao’s remarkable talent and fierce determination helped to solidify their legacy as one of Hawaii’s favorite Island Contemporary Music artists.

Highlights include “Push Comes to Shove” featuring DJ Audissey, “Going So Crazy” and “Serious For Me” featuring SF Bay area artist Rudy “Rude Boy” Rovetti, will keep you grooving and coming back for more. This album also introduces live horns on tracks “Bounce”, “Sweet Baby”, and “House Party”. Teaming up with island reggae icons Peni of Natural Vibrations and Papa T. of B.E.T. creates a silky, smooth, lovers rock track “Never Gonna Give”.
