From New Zealand comes this release from reggae band KATCHAFIRE. Roots music is a NZ passion and this group is the leading exponent, touring relentlessly for the past 8 years as the band's musicians honed their skills. Originally conceived as a covers band, faithfully playing Bob Marley and UB40 hits, KATCHAFIRE has matured -- now performing and writing all their own material. KATCHAFIRE is an all-Maori band and includes two generations of one family. Grenville Bell started the band, and now his two sons feature in it on vocals and on drums. They are all exemplary musicians, and their trademark harmonies have to be heard to be believed.
