Album Notes

Kamau is one of the newest and most innovative voices to emerge on the Hawaiian music scene. Their debut release, LIVE FROM THE LO`I combines melodic bass lines and sweet harmony vocals together with powerful lyrics, skilled acoustic guitar work and timely percussion to create a sound unlike any other.

LIVE FROM THE LO`I offers an insight into the mind of the young Hawaiian, as well as a glimpse of some of the larger issues being experienced by Hawaii's population. Building on the legacy of the Beamer and Ma`i`i family, Kamau is taking their families’ music into the next generation with their own distinct sound and message, in a package that clearly carries their family stamp.

The trio is comprised of Kaliko Ma`i`i (bass), Kamana Beamer (guitar), and Adam Zaslow (conga).
