Slack key guitar enthusiasts have exploded throughout the United States in the last decade. Ki ho`alu (slack key) refers to the altered tunings of the acoustic guitar that are unique to the musical heritage of Hawai`i. The beautiful slack key sound is synonymous with the magic of the islands.

SLACK KEY GUITAR VOLUME 2 was recorded in the heart of paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) country where the slack key guitar style originated. This CD presents varied guitar styles -- ranging from traditional to contemporary -- showing the evolution of this art form.
