Album Notes
Released after Israel's passing in 1997, this "live" album captures his performances from various concerts. From his early days as a founding member of The Makaha Sons of Ni`ihau, Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo`ole was the loveable "Bruddah IZ" to everyone. Larger than life, with the voice of an angel, mastery of the `ukulele, pride in his Hawaiian heritage, and great sense of humor, he was embraced by all who heard his music or had the great pleasure of seeing perform in person. His untimely passing in 1997 left a void...but one which is helping to be healed by his music.
This "live" album is a treasure -- both for those who never had the pleasure of hearing or seeing him perform, and for those who did.
