Album Notes

Music has been – and continues to be – prevalent throughout Howard’s life. Coming from a line of Lindsey musicians, Howard enjoyed the music and laughter found in the backyard jams of their homes at Kamuela, Kohala, Mahukona and Keaukaha.

Howard’s interest in Hawaiian music remained constant, and further flourished as the family returned to Honolulu. This was the heyday of Hawaiian music, an era of music greats such John Kamealoha Almeida, Lena Machado, and Genoa Keawe.

Today these songs carry nostalgic feelings of love and sweet melodies, bringing many memories to life and rendering old-time favorites new again. The same nostalgic heart feels the love of home.
