Album Notes
THIRST QUENCHER was the debut recording for Ho`okena -- and went on to win three Na Hoku Hanohano awards.
The CD made its mark in the Hawaiian music industry, featuring music like no other existing group by virtue of its make-up, the experiences of its members and the song selections. Ho`okena -- taking its name from a song about the South Kona district on the island of Hawai`i -- means "to satisfy thirst".
