Album NotesHO`OKAMAHA`O was inspired by Namahana Panui's song, "Ka Nani Kamaha`o" -- and is the fourth album from Ho`okena.
Meaning "the wondrous glory," this song is a spiritual testament that compares the power of akua with the intensity of a waterfall, surrounded in a spectacular landscape of roses, `iwa`iwa (maiden hair) and palapalai ferns, roses, all animated in sun rays. The wondrous glory awakens you with the fragrances of hala and miulana (pakalana).
The composite photo cover took Ho`okena on hikes to places they otherwise would not have enjoyed, creating, in the end, an oasis for the imagination.
