SLACK KEY TRADITION provides a cross-section of Hawaiian slack key guitar, rather than feature the work of just one artist.

The four talented musicians on this CD have been playing Hawaiian slack key guitar from when they were barely taller than the guitar they held. All were born and raised on the big island of Hawai`i. They learned the old way...from family members, in a true folk tradition. Some of the songs are ones that have been passed on to them in this manner. Others are more contemorary interpretations. Immerse yourself in these guitar melodies, for they carry with them in the rich lineage of Hawaain SLACK KEY TRADITION.
