Throughout the 1940's, this group was one of Britain's favorite and certainly most unusual bands. They appeared on the major theatre circuits, and were mobbed by fans. This release includes several rare early tracks, but focuses mainly on the second half of the group's existence. The extensive liner notes contain no lyrics, but do give valuable historical information about the musicians and the music they recorded.
