Album Notes
In the early 1950s, Bill Wolfgram & His Islanders were the first in New Zealand to record a HiFi long-play record.
MAORI BROWN EYES is a re-release from their earlier recordings.
Bill was born in Tonga and was known for his prowess on the lap steel guitar; Daphne Walker was known for her incredible voice -- and both were drawn to Maori-themed lyrics.
