Album Notes

Danny, now 18 years old, started playing guitar at the age of 9. He has been a student of slack key master and teacher Ozzie Kotani, who also taught Danny the styling of his own teacher, the legendary Sonny Chillingworth.

This is Danny's second solo release. The recordings on this CD, done when he was 17, have clearly captured the essence of ki ho`alu music. As his own voice emerges on this CD, Danny's style continues to evolve with echoes of those who have influenced him.
