KE AKA -- the debut solo release from Charles Ka`upu, is a collection of mo`olelo (stories), `oli (chant), mele (music), and more.
In 1979 Charles earned his `uniki (rite of passage) through a Hawaiian process called `ai-lolo -- and has taught and performed chant and dance ever since. He often performs on tour with Hapa -- the duo of Nathan Aweau and Barry Flanagan.
