Album Notes

Arthur Lyman was born on Kaua`i in 1936, the youngest of eight children. When just a small boy, his family moved to Honolulu, which is where he became interested in the records of Benny Goodman and Lionel Hampton.

Arthur's first album was "Taboo". His first three singles -- "Taboo", "Yellow Bird", and "Love for Sale" -- sold a million copies.

The exotic and jazzy styles of Arthur Lyman and his group will take you back to the 1950s when all things "island" were in vogue.
