The Aloha Pumehana Serenaders were assembled in 1976 especially to record this album. Led by the late Kumu Hula Darrell Lupenui (`ukulele), the group also featured Wendell Silva (bass), Lanakila Manini (guitar) and Ainsley Halemanu (guitar), all of whom contributed lead and background vocals to the album.
